Stamp Art is the process of using Postage Stamps as Paint to produce colourful Artworks with meaning and imagination to conceptualize an emotion, idea or moment by the artist who can express themselves using Postage Stamps as their choice of material to create an artwork with meaningful expression.

Tino the Stamp Artist is the World’s First Artist to use postage stamps as paint to create works of art that conceptualize contemporary, modern and fine art Artworks for viewers to appreciate the interesting world of postage stamps. With a background in creative design, Tino wanted to create an artistic identity of difference using a new medium for producing artworks. Using postage stamps was the natural choice as Tino has been a fastidious stamp collector since he was a child, is an expert in GB postage stamp errors, varieties and high value stamps from around the world having been a dealer in postage stamp issues for more than 30 years.

Tino established the movement of Stamp Art using postage stamps as paint in early 2000 while taking a break from his corporate career, when he established Stamp Art as a medium and creative format for producing artworks. Since 2001 Stamp Art is becoming a movement in its own right, with a number of new artists using the medium of postage stamps to create artworks. 

Using postage stamps to make artworks, brings the value of the postage stamp to the public eye and involves using stamps with history, storytelling and wonderful design illustrations to paint a picture in people’s minds of the meaning of the Artwork, as well as the postal stamps used in an artwork.

Stamp Art is a growing movement with many new artists providing their presentations for the public to enjoy and purchase with some artworks becoming collectable and valuable due to demand and availability.
